MRAMOR STREAM CANAL CLEANED Mramor stream, which has for years been making troubles for the residents of the inhabited places in the city municipality of Palilula, now has a new regulated trough. "I am satisfied because the villagers with their agreement contributed to this canal, with a length of about 150 meters upstream and downstream, for its cleaning of wastes and garbage to prevent any flooding," said the president of Palilula, Boban Džunić. He together with the head of the Municipal administration, Marija Brajdić, visited this location and with the contractors and locals talked about this investment. The gathered villagers, representatives of the Council of citizens, explained the president that in certain periods of the year, due to improper canal and dumping into the trough, comes to flooding. "It will be much easier and better than it was before. We had a big problem with water and flood that flooded our land, "said Zvonko Ivanovic, local of Mramor stream. President of Palilula Boban Džunić added that the agreement between themselves is the most important. "These works will contribute a lot to the locals. We are closer to the winter period, and in this area led it to flooding and inundation of arable land many times. Water wells are also vulnerable. The villagers mutually agreed and agreed on who what and where to do. This is the right way of solving community problems. When there is unity and agreement, then, the community can influence to help citizens as did our Municipality and City of Niš, in this case, emphasized Boban Džunić. After adapting country road roads, supporting citizens in solving the issues of water supply and sewer network, this is a good example of solving problems and other utilities, united citizens who are of interest to the community in the rural area. |
